Starks Fires Back at Bengals Loudmouth WR

ESPN talks about how Steelers LT Max Starks isn’t finding what Chad Ochocinco is saying about the Steelers as funny as some:

Pittsburgh Steelers left tackle Max Starks wasn’t amused by Chad Ochocinco’s recent trash talking. According to an interview Friday with Ken Laird of Pittsburgh’s ESPN radio 1250, one statement in particular really bothered Starks, one of the team’s locker-room leaders. Ochocinco recently said on his VH1 reality dating show, “Man, I haven’t seen this many girls on a football field since the last time we played the Steelers.” “That right there said enough for me, and I wish I played defense at that moment,” Starks said.

“But you know what, I got a bunch of guys that’s going to be in these dorm rooms later that will be more than happy to take up that challenge for me. Chad is who he is and he always has his frequent sayings. But some things you just don’t say.” Starks says he will make sure the Steelers won’t forget Ochocinco’s statement this season.

Pittsburgh plays Cincinnati on Nov. 8 and Dec. 12. “It’s something that I will keep inside until that week,” Starks said. “I’ve already gotten the DVR of it. So just in case someone needs additional motivation, on top of the motivation that is already for Cincinnati alone.”

I am a lifelong Steelers fan, but I must admit Chad is good for the entertainment value of the NFL. This is perfect – two days into training camp and he’s already talking trash on the Steelers; sorry Chad, you will soon find out what the rest of the league will be finding out this season: the Steelers will be getting back the two best players at their position in the league (Smith and Polamalu), Ziggy Hood is going to continue to grow into a dominant player, and the new-look offensive line is going to lend itself to the Steelers getting back to “smash-mouth” football. O yeah, hopefully this motivates Starks to work really hard to be something more than an average NFL tackle. Just my opinion.

If I’m a Bengals fan, I’m pissed at Chad Johnson–but since I’m a Steelers fan, I just want to say, keep talking shit Chad, it only makes us stronger…You’re such an unintelligent moron!
