Brett Keisel hopeful to play against the Saints Sunday

While the Steelers will miss the services of Aaron Smith on the D-line, they are hoping Sunday to get back left defensive end Brett Keisel.

He didn’t practice Wednesday, but he remains hopeful that come Sunday night he will be able to take the field in New Orleans against the Super Bowl champion Saints.

“I feel good. I feel like the healing process is coming along,” said Keisel. “Hopefully, I’ll be out there Sunday.”

Keisel hurt his hammy in the teams 4th win of the season on October 17th vs Cleveland. “Just have to be smart,” he said. “Understand, we’re going into our seventh game and there’s a lot of football left. We’ve still got the bulk of the season, and I don’t want to sit out more games than I need to.”

If Keisel is still on the sidelines, it will fall on Nick Eason to make his second consecutive start.
