Classic Video Rewind: Steelers lose 26-16 to the Bengals at home in 1989

You remember the names well – Bubby Brister, Dwight Stone, Boomer Esiason, James Brooks. It was 1989, and while the Steelers were a playoff team, the Bengals were a team coming off a showing in the Super Bowl. It was week 6 of the season, and the Bengals were 26-16 winners at Three Rivers.

    I remember a game where the Steelers head coach criticized a Bengal’s running back as being over the hill. Predictably the back went off. I remember because after a run, the back ran by Cowher(?) and gave him the finger.

    Does anyone remember what I am talking about? Was that James Brooks? Was this the game?
