Go Browns?

Yes, I thought it was a headline you would never see here on Steelers Gab, but if your going to root for anyone today in the NFL as you enjoy those day after Christmas gifts, it has to be the mistake by the lake – the Cleveland Browns.

As you probably already know, it’s not hard to figure out why we as Steeler fans should root for Cleveland in their matchup in Cleveland vs Baltimore. You see, a Browns win (they are underdogs after back to back losses to two-win teams) and the Steelers clinch the AFC North and the #2 seed in the AFC.

A loss, and next wee the Steelers will have to go full force against the Browns, as they will need a win to make sure they get the North and the two-seed. So while it may be easier to root against the Ravens, be aware if you are doing that today, you are rooting for the Clowns. Ugh.

I’m not trying to be an apologist for the God-aweful, stinkin, filthy, degenerate, low-life scumbag referees who do the Steelers games. I’m not. That being said, I’m sitting here watching all the games on Directv and the officiating in all of them is a complete and unadulterated joke! There’s flags everywhere, games look on the take, ulterior agendas and motives seem to exist. Like the interception they gave that Cox DB for Jax (I’m rooting for Jax btw to keep Indy out of the playoffs) but that should never have been an int—he was clearly out of bounds (left foot). And then they cancel/postponed the Silly game because of snow; SNOW!!!!!! What the ^%#$ has happened or is happening to the NFL, man! Everyone and everything was fine and (borderline) utopic, ethereal even when we all were entrenched in the awareness set of a 16 game regular season. As soon as the notion of 18 games had to come up, all the administrative officials and what not have gone completely bananas in terms of judgement and rationality and common sense and, oh yeah, the fans’ best interests too!?! What the….I love this sport but seriously if anything remotely close to this type of NONSNESE was happening in any other sport, I would have banned myself for life from it! Let’s protect the cash cow!!!!!!!

I just watched McCoy throw another INT. to Reed. There is no reason we should lose next week as McCoy’s arm is candy ass, his receivers drop passes and their defensive front fall all over themselves like clumsy oafs!
