Third Quarters Thoughts – Steelers Maintain 18-Point Lead

Woodley celebrates a sack

It was a back and forth quarter, with the offense keeping up the momentum with a touchdown on Roethlisberger’s fourth TD throw on the game, the second to Hines Ward to make it 28-3. The Titans got back into it a little as Matt Hasselbeck drove Tennessee down the field and got a short TD throw to Chris Johnson to make it 28-10.

The Titans went for, and got an onside kick, but the Steelers got it right back on the next play, as Brett Keisel batted a Matt Hasselbeck pass, and LaMarr Woodley, playing his best game of 2011, caught the batted pass, and it gave the Steelers the ball back.

Roethlisberger is 20-for-28 for 162 yards with four TD’s and a pick. The Steelers offense has outgained the Titans 350 to 190, and the run game is playing its best game of the year to date. They will look to put their stamp on this game with the run game in the final quarter.
