Schefter: LB Harrison Likely to Sit vs Raiders Sunday

It appears that the Steelers will be again without linebacker James Harrison when they head to Oakland Sunday to play the Raiders.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter filed the report earlier today.

Harrison has been on the bench all season, though he’s said a couple times that he’s close to getting back on the field. Last week both he and Troy Polamalu missed the teams 27-10 win over the Jets.

The former defensive player of the year has not played since a playoff loss in Denver nine months ago. He was sidelined all of training camp with a knee injury, and had arthroscopic surgery on Aug. 15.

Chris Carter will likely get the start again for Harrison.
