Sunday Is Another Chance For Ben To Shine

Ben Roethlisberger is looking to continue his impressive season this Sunday vs the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars secondary has struggled this season defending the deep ball. That should bode well for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Roethlisberger.

The Jaguars defense has allowed 25 pass plays for 20 yards or more. Six of those for touchdowns. Considering the fact that wide receivers Antonio Brown,Justin Brown,and Markus Wheaton all can stretch the field the talent and opportunities for there for them to make plays. When you include that Le’Veon Bell is having a terrific season the Jacksonville Jaguars must commit a defender in the box to try to contain Bell. Tight end Health Miller should also benefit as well. If the Jacksonville Jaguars are overly concerned about the deep ball Miller could very well have a great day catching passes underneath as well as wide receiver Lance Moore.

On the flip side the offensive line for the Pittsburgh Steelers will have to hold their blocks a little longer. The holding penalties will have to be reduced. With the Jacksonville Jaguars secondary struggling the pass rush will be increased to cover up the weak secondary. The running must be consistent enough to make the pass plays unpredictable. If and when the defense created turnovers the offense must capitalize on that. When in the red zone the running game must be utilized as the field will be shorter. Roethlisberger has put together some impressive games. The Pittsburgh Steelers need a impressive game from Roethlisberger in order for the Pittsburgh Steelers to advance to 3-2.
