Keys to the Game: How the Steelers Match Up with Kansas City

The Steelers have owned the Chiefs over the past few seasons, including a huge win last season at Arrowhead Stadium when the Chiefs had yet to lose a game.

Using a Caesars Casino Bonus Code you can bet the Steelers want that success to continue Sunday, but there’s a few things that have to go their way for a win.

1. Turnovers

Needless to say that Sunday in Cleveland was a nightmare for the Steelers offense giving up the ball. They gave it up WAY too often, and Sunday a sure way to get a win is to keep better care of the ba.

2. Halt Kareem Hunt

The Steelers did a solid job last year against Hunt in their win in Kansas City, but Sunday the Chiefs will look to get him into space and try to get him the ball early. He’s a big time playmaker that can go the distance at a moments notice, so the Steelers have to have sound gap control and make sure they hold Hunt in check.

3. Get After Mahomes

New Chiefs signal Pat Mahomes might be young but has looked like a veteran so far in his limited time, staying cool in the pocket. The Steelers defense got to Tyrod Taylor in a big way last week, and TJ Watt and that defense needs to come after Mahomes while not allowing him a lot of time to throw the ball. Look for stunts and blitzes often to get Mahomes rattled.

4. Feed Conner

James Conner looked like a seasoned pro last week with a huge day on the ground in the 21-21 tie with the Browns. Look for him to again get plenty of chances here in week two, as the Steelers will look to establish the run and get Conner comfortable in front of the home crowd for the first time. Look for another 100 plus yard day for the Steelers running back.

5. Foot on the Throat

Last week was embarrassing allowing the Browns to pop back in the game after the the Steelers led 21-7 midway through the fourth quarter. This time if they have a lead, they won’t allow things to get away things to escape, and this time look for them to try and put the “nail in the coffin” of the Chiefs, making sure they get the job done and closing them out with a huge home win to push their mark to 1-0-1 on the young season.
