With the Steelers limping towards their playoff game on Saturday, the team today tried to add some sort of depth to their offensive line, as they pulled up offensive lineman Jonathan Parquet from the practice squad and signed rookie offensive lineman Jason Capizzi for the second time. With both Marvel Smith and Max Starks hurt, the team is doing whatever it can to put five healthy and capable offensive linemen on the field for the showdown with Jacksonville. They already are going to have to play Trai Essex at left tackle, and have toyed with the idea of moving Alan Faneca over to left tackle and play Chris Kemoeatu at left guard for Faneca. In an interesting move, the team also added wide receiver Jeremy Bloom to their practice squad. Bloom, a former Olympic skier and Colorado receiver and return specialist, was cut by the Eagles following training camp.
