Holmes accused of attacking a woman in Florida

The offseason of issues continues for the Steelers, as get a load of the latest report out against them – this time against former Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes:

Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes was accused of attacking a woman with a glass in a Florida nightclub before “pressuring” her not to press charges, reports said Monday.

A lawsuit filed last week alleges that Holmes got into an argument with a woman at Rain Nightclub in Orlando and threw a glass of liquor at the woman’s face, causing a laceration near her eye.

TMZ and Courthouse News reported the woman, Anshonoe Mills, claimed Holmes and Orlando police “pressured” her not to press charges against Holmes, and he offered her money to avoid trouble.

“When confronted with the possibility of incarceration, defendant (Holmes) asked to speak with the plaintiff (Mills),” court documents reported by Courthouse News said. “He proceeded to inform the plaintiff that he was an NFL football player and that he could not face criminal charges.

“Subsequently, defendant offered to give the plaintiff money because he was an NFL star and could not get into trouble.

“Plaintiff felt pressure from the defendant and the Orlando Police Department not to press charges. Plaintiff, feeling pressured, made a short victim statement incoherently stating that she was hit in the face and bleeding near her eyes, however, intended not to press charges.”

The statement added: “The Orlando Police Department failed to write a police report.” The Pittsburgh Steelers did not return TMZ’s call for comment. Holmes was named MVP for Super Bowl XLIII in 2009, making him the sixth wide receiver ever to win the designation.

What is going on in Pittsburgh?? Tomlin better start addressing these off field issues VERY soon!I cant stand the thought of my beloved franchise turning into a laughingstock. who among us is getting embarrassed? When did the Steelers become a discipline problem franchise like Dallas, Oakland, Cincy and every NBA franchise in existence? This is becoming a BIG problem. Roethlisberger (2x now), Holmes (2x now), Harrison(domestic issue), Reed (many instances) and whoever I might have missed or that havent been caught yet! This has to stop. Pittsburgh has long been the model franchise for running business, winning titles and doing things right.
Lets get this straightened out immediately! Rooney/Colbert/Tomlin are now on the clock!

Ben: Throw touchdown passes. Santonio: Catch touchdown passes. Both of you: you are not entitled to act like fucking idiots because you have 2 commas in your paycheck.
