Ben and Goodell have their sit down

It’s likely to be a waiting game now for the Steelers when it comes to QB Ben Roethlisberger, as he and the team will sit back and wait to hear what commish Roger Goodell will do to the QB after they met today at league headquarters in New York City.

Reports say that the meeting lasted several hours, and the QB, wearing a nifty suit, came out of the sit down saying that it was a “very productive meeting.” Take that for what it’s worth. Roethlisberger also told reporters before getting into his car, “it’s a very serious matter, one we take serious.”

Not quite sure what the heck he’s talking about, as he’s the one that got himself into this mess to begin with. Maybe he was able to convince Goodell that he’s really not that bad of a guy and doesn’t deserve to be suspended. Then again, maybe not.

If Goodell doesn’t lay the hammer down on the QB, and I find it hard to believe that a suspension of at least one-game isn’t coming, then look for the Steelers to sit him down. I wouldn’t doubt if Goodell imposes a one-game suspension, then the team follows suit and does the same, forcing him to miss the first two games of the 2010 season.

The Steelers have already said they have spoken to the league on the matter, and at some point they are going to decide if they haven’t already what they are going to do to finally try and get the message across to their franchise QB that this behavior is simply not going to be allowed by the club.

What a moron. Roethlisberger shows up yesterday on TV in Pittsburgh looking like a Billy Ray Cyrus impersonator, then shaves his head for a meeting with Roger Goodell. Can anyone say Bi-polar?
The Steelers need to find someone with a good quarterback and trade him now.

Rumor going around Pittsburgh!! Appearently another girl is coming out and saying Ben assaulted her over the summer. Steelers are catching wind of this and again appearently are listening to a trade offer from the Rams for this years first overall pick and next year’s first round pick. Again this is all purely specualtion and a rumor being floated around. Any thoughts?

I doubt he going anywhere! I would not trade him, unless he slips up again. He is a winner on the field
