Hampton’s hamstring injury to be evaluated the next few days

Nose tackle Casey Hampton left Sunday’s game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return.

The big guy was upset as he walked off following the injury, slamming his helmet down by the Steelers bench as he walked off with trainers in tow.

“It’s very disappointing,” Hampton said. “I’ve been in this game long enough to know that this sort of thing will happen and you just have to go with it.”

Head coach Mike Tomlin said the team would reevaluate Hampton’s status in the next couple of days.
