Steelers Say Despite Story; Ben’s Foot Not Broken

Despite reports stating the opposite, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t have a broken right foot but instead is healing from an aggravation of a previous injury where scar tissue is present.

The Steelers issued a statement Thursday night refuting a report from the Post-Gazette that stated that Roethlisberger broke a metatarsal bone in his foot. He has worn a protective boot all week, and has been fitted with a protective game shoe.

Roethlisberger was limited in practice Thursday, but said he plans to play Sunday against Baltimore. He has won his last five starts against the Ravens.
