Steelers up 10-7, sloppy first half, but they have the lead, and that’s a good thing considering how they played…
Would love to see Mendenhall get about 125 yards this half
Brown keeps a drive alive with some tough running, so far so good to start the second half!
2nd and Goal, and they wanted to go to Ward, but instead settle for an awful pass to Randel-El that loses yards
6 penalties for 59 yards, this after I said they were doing a good job avoiding penalties
Touchdown on this drive should put the game away, as Steelers totally in control after three quarters

Wow, the way that kickoff started, I thought right now it would be 14-13 Bengals.

I don’t care about the woodley int for 6, i’m glad about it but this offensive line sux beyond any type of recognizable nonsense…this offensive line isn’t fit to fukin back up detroit lions’ starters…they are garbage i cannot believe how pathetic our offense is…go forward and then get a holding call and dont tell me about injuries….colon sucked too and it took him four years to get good, ben don’t got four more years to wait for protection….if this organization doens’t rade up for a tackle and take a top tier guard in the second round, then they should be ashamed….I can’t think of a worse offensive line in football…I mean holding on running plays??????? get into the red zone and move backward against cincy….god help us in the playoffs, if we make it!

I know what its called, Matt, let me ask you, you must have a cushy life to be satisfied with simple numbers and ends, more complex individuals who entrench themselves in thought look at means and dont forget losses to Satan’s patriots who, by the way, will stomp on us with our o-line sucking like this….I guess out here in eastern Pa where there is more attention to detail, we get categorically labeled as hard and uptight but don’t forget, when you peek up from your cup of coffee and look at the world through your myopic and, what did Andy Difrane call them, obtuse colored glasses, you’ll see that the world, although using numbers to rate and compartmentalize these teams, is much more eclectic with a lot more to it…if you don’t see how bad this o line is, you need a more clear, real and definitely adult prescription, brah!

Then why are you commenting? Your mere presence implies a sort of passion because this is a post/blog of passionate people. It’s not just football, it’s a cultural institution and our discourse proves it!

i’ll take a shitty offensive line and a 10-3 record every day of the week.

Jay, sit there and say I don’t see things and am not as “complex” as you, but here’s some hard stats to chew on:
Through 13 games in 2008
Ran for less than 100 total yards 5 times
Gave up 35 sacks through 13 games (2.6)
Were 10-3 after beating Dallas
Avg 3.7 yards per carry
Through 13 games in 2010
Has run for less than 100 total yards 3 times
Have given up 31 sacks through 13 games(2.3 per game)
Were 10-3 after beating Cincy
Avg 4.0 yards per carry
Bottom line, the O-line needs to improve, no question, but I’ll take this O-line over the 08 model, and in case you forgot, those guys helped win a Super Bowl. With #7 doing things a normal QB can’t do, this team has got a good of a chance to win a Super Bowl as any.
If the Pats are so good, let’s not forget they lost to Cleveland by 20, 34-14, and sure, they are playing their best football NOW – but would you not rather have that and maybe they have a let down in January? I would.

Matt, are those parallel stats meant to prove the similarities between a futile offensive line in a super bowl year and a futile offensive line in yet-to-see year? If so, I don’t know that it proves anything except that the line is bad. I guess what bothers me is the fact that I was little boy the last time we had a QB the caliber of 7 and watching his career become shortened before our eyes by the lack of protection just incenses me. Yeah 10-3 is formidable…..But what does it mean when we’re home watching someone else (New Satan Patriots) because they protected their QB better and ran the ball better or whatever? I hope to God and even on some levels want another shot at them but we all watching the same thing, Ben will have to don a red cape and an S in order to be in Dallas in February!
