Woodley Sidelined Again Tonight; Sanders Will Play

It’s official – linebacker LaMarr Woodley will not play Sunday night against the Chiefs.

It was thought that Woodley would be back this week after he hurt his hamstring in the Week 8 win over the New England Patriots.

NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported earlier this week that the Steelers were not counting on Woodley to play against the Chiefs, though, they do not believe Woodley will miss an extended amount of time.

The Pittsburgh Post-Post Gazette also reported linebacker Stevenson Sylvester will not play, while wideout Emmanuel Sanders (knee) should be good to go. Sanders had missed the past two games.

Matt Loede has been in the sports media for over 16 years, with experience covering the MLB, NBA, and NFL. On Sunday’s during football season, you can hear Matt on national networks like Fox Sports Radio, Associated Press, and others. Born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, Matt studies and talks football inside and out, and is anxious to share his thoughts and comments with readers on a daily basis.
