12-4 and a wild card. Tough division. Will Ryan Clark play next week? The Broncos are sorry but if the game stays close you never know with the Tebow kid. We are in the tournament…Go Steelers

Unfortunately , the Steelers put themselves in this position by losing to Baltimore twice . Now we get to go on the road and do it the hard way . The Steelers offense had better pick things up in a hurry . If they play next week like they did today against the Browns , it could be one and done .

Keep in mind the Broncos offense could only muster up 3 points last week

Before the season started, I said the North division was the best in the AFC. It isn’t often that a division places 3 teams in the playoffs, including a 5th seed that is 12-4. The North division is tough.
I also said injuries would hurt us down the stretch, and they have. I was speaking of our antique veterans when I wrote that, but even our young guys have had more than their share. Injuries have hurt us — in more ways than one. We are not the Steelers of old.
Still, Denver is reeling from three straight losses, and the Steelers are the better team. We should win. But beware of snow and wind in Denver. If conditions get bad, Arians’ aerial circus will be grounded. Ben’s injury limits his ability to throw deep anyway, it prevents him from scrambling, and he is not a proficient pocket passer on a clear day. He will become even less effective if the weather turns bad. This is where a solid rushing game usually rescues the Steelers. But not this year. In fact, Denver’s running game was better than ours even before Mendy got hurt; now, it is much better. Denver does have a chance.
On Sunday, both teams will learn there is a price to pay for being one-dimensional. My guess is Pittsburgh wins. But not by much. Denver’s defense is similar in quality to Cleveland’s, and I expect the score to be equally close, 13-7. Games this close are often decided by special teams and turnovers. That’s how this one shapes up, too.
