NFL.com has confirmed that Steelers RG David DeCastro has torn both his MCL and ACL in the preseason game against Buffalo.
QB Ben Roethlisberger said after the game, in reference to Ralph Wilson Stadium: “This is a great field, but it’s FieldTurf, and it’s just killing guys because they can’t get their feet out of the ground. And it’s just another reason we should get rid of FieldTurf.”
Players prefer RealGrass Matrix artificial turf that the Cowboys have in Cowboys Stadium.
The Steelers always find a way. The injury isn’t significant enough, in my opinion, to ruin their season. Instead, it should galvanize them towards their goals.
Ben looked very sharp tonight, and admitted after the game that he called every play on his first touchdown drive.

Get rid of this crap fake turf. The players hate it and it’s killing carrers. Field turf will eventualy go the way of astroturf, get rid of it.

Addendum: nfl.com article I read uses the word “injuries” in lieu of (verbatim) “tears to ac and mcl.”. Is that the article ur basing this off of or is there another o e I missed?
