Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell Out of the Pro Bowl

Cincinnati Bengals v Pittsburgh Steelers

It appeared after the Steelers were knocked out of the playoffs that fans may have still seen Le’Veon Bell one more time on the field for the 2014 season.

That’s not going to happen – and it’s for the best.

Bell, who had a monster 2014 campaign, won’t be playing in the Pro Bowl this Sunday, as he has yet to be cleared to play from his hyperextended knee from the regular season finale vs the Bengals.

With Bell not medically cleared to take the field, Broncos RB C.J. Anderson will play instead.

Nothing good could come from Bell playing in the practice game this weekend, as it’s a LOT more important for the RB, who rushed for 1,361 yards and eight touchdowns on the season, to have a healthy knee entering 2015 than it is to play in a game that has become a joke over the last decade.

Matt Loede has been in the sports media for over 16 years, with experience covering the MLB, NBA, and NFL. On Sunday’s during football season, you can hear Matt on national networks like Fox Sports Radio, Associated Press, and others. Born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, Matt studies and talks football inside and out, and is anxious to share his thoughts and comments with readers on a daily basis.
