Top 10 Games On The Steelers Schedule In The 2015 Season

Pittsburgh Steelers v Cleveland Browns

3. Vs Cleveland Browns – Week 10 Sunday November 15th

If you’re wondering why this lands on the top 10 games, just remember the opener a year ago, when the Steelers led 27-3 at half, then had to sweat out a 30-27 win on the final play of the game. Cleveland right now appears to be a mess, with Johnny Manziel currently penciled in at QB. It’s the last of a three-game home stretch for the Steelers, and they need this game as they get set to get their late bye week then turn around and head out to play the tough Seahawks two weeks later.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news , but after the release of the 2015 schedule , 2015 looks to be one long season for the Steelers . Three of the first four games are against the Patriots , 49ers and Ravens . With the defense being in a state of complete turmoil , and no LeVeon Bell for the first three games , that could not come at a worse possible time . Also , just for good measure , we now have Antonio Brown making threats that hes unhappy and is holding out offseason workouts and possibly training camp . The Steelers already had three strikes against them with the defense , Bell , and Brown , and now with the release of the schedule this is setting up to be a potentially long year . Time will tell .

All true, Dave B — and of all those challenges you enumerated, Butler’s task of getting the reconstructed D to play together as a unit seems the most daunting.

But on a happier note, we don’t have to beat the Patriots, Seahawks, Packers, Colts, Broncos and Cowboys to make the playoffs. We only have to win our division. Of couse, that assumes we can beat the Ravens, Bengals, and Browns. The last odds I saw had the Ravens and Steelers even at 15 to 1 to win the AFC Championship and even at 30 to 1 to win the Super Bowl. Those are better odds than I would give, but professional gamblers apparently believe we have a chance to win our division; and if we do win the division, anything is possible. Not that I find that logic compelling, but after looking at our 2015 schedule, a faint ray of hope is better than none.
