Antonio Brown on the Philadelphia Beat Down – “We Got Our Butt Kicked”

Antonio Brown

After the Eagles 34-3 victory over the Steelers, wide receiver Antonio Brown spoke about being on the receiving end of a thumping administered by the Eagles aggressive defense.

“Well,” Brown told reporters, “we got our butt kicked. We couldn’t put points up. Couldn’t get any stops. We have to find a way to get back.”

Brown got a lot of garbage yards and catches after the Steelers were blown out by allowing 21 points in the third quarter, which turned a 13-3 game into a 34-4 game.

Overall AB had 12 catches for 140 yards, but there’s also the question as to why he was even in the game getting those garbage catches when the Steelers clearly had the bus warmed up in the fourth quarter.

“It’s all about winning and losing,” Brown said. “Today, we got our butts kicked. It’s not about what we did individually. Collectively, we sucked. We got blown out and couldn’t put up enough points.”

Or any for that matter.

That without question is the biggest understatement of 2016 . They not only , got their butt kicked , but they got it handed to them on a silver platter . I said before the season started , that this team will live and or die with its defense . I think the answer to that is becoming more clearer now . You cannot expect this offense to go out every Sunday and put up 30 points a game because the defense cant keep up . It wont work and Sunday was proof of it . The Steelers current group of linebackers are a joke and thats being kind . Jarvis Jones is a bust and has been from day one . The only reason hes playing at all is because they have no better option . Arthur Moats is a journeyman player at best . James Harrison was a tremendous player for many years but that ship has sailed . Hes not the player he used to be and its not close . Timmons is still decent but his best days , like Harrisons are behind him . That leaves Ryan Shazier . This kid has all pro wrote all over him , but he cant stay on the field . Injuries are eating him alive . When you combine that with a very young in experienced secondary the Steelers have major problems defensively . With that said , I think its safe to say , all the Super Bowl talk better be put on hold for a while .

I have and continue to be borderline apoplectic to the point that I ripped a terrible towel to shreds and put it on Facebook, stored ALL of my steelers shit in a box and stashed away with the marker note that read to not open until tomlin is fired, I ripped my license plate frame off and threw away an immaculate reception action figure statuette. Threw away caps and other steelers nick backs. One of my students gave me a mini pencil case steelers helmet last year well that got replaced with another pencil holder right in front of my students this morning. They couldn’t believe it. My wife wouldn’t let me throw away the $300.00 helmet because she scraped together all of our earnings plus some family members for my one and only Christmas present a few years ago! So I just covered it with a blanket. FUCK THIS TEAM! It’s not just the one, isolated ocassion, it’s that useless head coach h having this happen multiple times per year EVERY year over the last half decade! I’m so done!
