The ongoing debate between Steelers fans continues as the team welcomes in new backup quarterback Michael Vick.
Today some Steeler ‘fans’ protested outside the teams’ facility after practice, and as we talked about yesterday, there’s a petition going around that to date has over 15,000 signatures on it.
ESPN reports the following about the protesters that were outside the teams’ facility today:
Four women stood behind a green fence across the street from the team’s South Side facility holding various signs, including one that read: “FIRST, BEN … NOW, VICK … WHAT NEXT.”
Another read: “Jail time is not enough. Ban Vick from football.” The women are from the “Justice with Animals” group, protester Ellie Gordon said.
Vick spoke to the media today for the first time – you can see the entire video interview HERE
“I couldn’t have landed in a better place,” Vick said. “Passionate fans, the organization is all about pleasing the fans. What I’ve heard throughout this whole locker room is there’s only one goal, that is to get that ring. We’re going to try to do it however we can get it.
“I’m just glad to be a part of it, something I needed in my life, I feel like I am in a great position, and in a great place.”
