Six Pittsburgh Steelers players were absent from Tuesday’s practice who either did not play in the team’s 21-0 win over the Seattle Seahawks or missed a few plays of the game itself: wide receivers Hines Ward (knee) and Santonio Holmes (hamstring), defensive tackle Casey Hampton (hamstring), safety Troy Polamalu (ribs), cornerback Bryant McFadden (ankle) and offensive tackle Marvel Smith (knee).
The Steelers practice today and Thursday and will have Friday, Saturday and Sunday off for their bye week before beginning offensive and defensive preparations on Monday for their next opponent, the Denver Broncos.
