Roethlisberger Has No Structural Damage to Foot; Will Wear Boot Sunday

It hasn’t been a good week to be a part of Steeler Nation, but the team appeared to give some good news to give to fans, as reports say that QB Ben Roethlisberger has no structural damage to his left foot after numerous tests showed nothing more than a bruise.

Roethlisberger still wears a protective boot and will not practice today, although he participated in this morning’s walk-through. He said he will wear a redisgned shoe for Sunday’s game against Tennessee, much as he did last season to protect a broken bone in his right foot. As with that one, the shoe for his left foot will included a metal plate for protection.

Matt Loede has been in the sports media for over 16 years, with experience covering the MLB, NBA, and NFL. On Sunday’s during football season, you can hear Matt on national networks like Fox Sports Radio, Associated Press, and others. Born and raised in Cleveland Ohio, Matt studies and talks football inside and out, and is anxious to share his thoughts and comments with readers on a daily basis.
