Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger Named AFC Offensive Player of the Week

Ben Roethlisberger

Sunday night was quite a night for the Steelers offense, and more so for quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, as the two-time Super Bowl champ took home the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award.

The performance Big Ben and his mates put on was outstanding in the 43-14 win over the Chiefs, as he threw for 300 yards and five touchdowns in going 22 of 27 passing.

Ben earned a quarterback rating of 152.5, just shy of a perfect 158.3 rating. It was also a complete effort for Roethlisberger, as in completing 22 passes, he hit nine different receivers.

The QB will look to have another big week Sunday when the Steelers host the New York Jets at 1pm.

That really was a great game and a great look at what our offense can do. If the line can stay pretty healthy and key players stay healthy we really do have a shot at the Super Bowl. I’m actually glad we will be facing Brady when we play them this season. It will give us an idea on both teams as the Pats are the favorite in the AFC.
