Tomlin Says Roethlisberger Off Field Case is a Non-Issue

The press continues to push the issue with how Ben Roethlisberger has handled his first day on the job at training camp, and Mike Tomlin squashed any issues with Ben like a grape earlier on Saturday. Tomlin was asked if he was surprised how Ben has handled the offseason distraction:

“He’s handled it how I expected him to handle it to be quite honest with you. This is . . . ., You know, I understand it’s that time of year and it’s something to talk about but this is . . . you know, it’s not gonna be an issue for us, it’s really not,” coach said. “If this derails our football team we got a lot more problems than this story.”

So consider it a non-story in Latrobe for now, even with the media continuing to try and get someone to really say something about it.
