The Fake Handshake

Another day – another story.

This time it has to do with our hero – Hines Ward, and Ravens coach John Harbaugh. Seems that the WR was asked about certain Ravens players, and also talked about the coach. Ward says that Harbaugh doesn’t like the WR, and that he gave him a fake handshake.

“I don’t think their head coach likes me,” Ward said, according to Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. “I tried to shake his hand before we played them the last time. He gave me a fake handshake. He didn’t even look at me. That’s fine. Whatever.”

Harbaugh shook off the comments. “I’m on the sidelines watching it. He’s a physical player. It’s an intense game. After the game, guys are pretty good about shaking hands. Before the game, obviously we don’t do as good a job.”

Ward went on to say that he and Ray Lewis are just fine, but he and Ed Reed – not so much. “Ray (Lewis) and I are OK. We have the same agent,” Ward said. “But the other guys? We’re not so cool. Ed (Reed) and I have seen each other at the Pro Bowl and we didn’t even speak.”

We shall see if Sunday night there are any hugs between anyone on the two teams.
