Goodell Says He Didn’t Hear RB Bell’s Appeal; Has No Timetable on a Decision

Kansas City Chiefs v Pittsburgh Steelers

While it’s common knowledge that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was the man to hear out Patriots golden boy Tom Brady when it came to the appeal of his suspension, there’s been little talk about the appeal of Steelers RB Le’Veon Bell.

The running back is set to miss the first three games of 2015 after he was pulled over last August in possession of marijuana and received citation for DUI.

Goodell did speak about the appeals today, stating that there’s no timetable for the decision to come down about Brady, who of course is set to miss the first four games including the opener against the Steelers.

As for Bell, Goodell said he didn’t personally hear the Bell appeal.

“That appeal is not heard by me, I would have to get somebody else to get a timeline on that,” Goodell said.

Nice that the commish is once again playing favorites, going above and beyond to hear Brady’s appeal but doing nothing to give Bell a fair shake.

Here’s a bet that Bell still misses games 1-3, putting even more pressure on the passing game as well as free agent offseason pickup DeAngelo Williams to carry the load for the Steelers.
