Final Thoughts

The Steelers’ depth chart is set (click here to view).

Receivers to watch: Sammie Coates, Devin Gardner, Shakim Phillips, Kenzel Doe, C.J. Goodwin, Tyler Murphy.

The punting battle between Brad Wing and Jordan Berry will be tested.

Defensive tackle Joe Okafor will join the roster in place of defensive end Clifton Geathers who was placed on the reserve/injured list.

Notes from the final practice before the game (on Friday):

The offense was able to draw first blood in the opening of practice in the 2-yard, 11-on-11 drill, but the defense won, 5-2.  Cornerback William Gay had a big hit on QB/WR Devin Gardner, preventing him from reaching the end zone after a completion.  DE Stephon Tuitt was able to run down Antonio Brown on a wide receiver sweep, keeping Brown out of the end zone. CB Brandon Boykin, playing slot in a 7-on-7 drill, grabbed an interception, then ran the ball to coach Tomlin, earning him a handshake.  Special teams worked on protection formations, especially the onside kick and punt situations. The following players did not participate in practice or were limited: WR Martavis Bryant, WR Markus Wheaton, S Robert Golden, S Mike Mitchell, S Shamarko Thomas, CB Cortez Allen, S Ross Ventrone, S Isaiah Lewis, DT Daniel McCullers, G Ramon Foster, TE Heath Miller, LB Vince Williams.  Coach Joey Porter was not in camp in order to be in Canton to prepare for the Hall of Fame activities, joining Ben Roethlisberger and James Harrison.
