Steelers LB Arthur Moats is going to face a stiff fine from the league this week after his facemask penalty of Browns QB Johnny Manziel in Sunday’s 30-9 win over Cleveland.

Sunday evening Moats took to Twitter to tweet out an apology to Manziel, and of course took backlash from the Browns fans and Steelers haters who felt he should have been ejected for his actions.

As I stated in my last post Ben is the heart , the soul and the motor that drives this offense . He proved it again today . Without him the Steelers lose this game . The reason being , the Steelers defense in a word , is pathetic . Last week against Oakland , Derek Carr looked like Ken Stabler , God rest his soul . This week , Johnny Manziel looked like Brian Sipe . The Steelers secondary is simply awful and the organization has no one to blame but themselves for not upgrading it when they had the chance . The Steelers offense has to put up thirty points a game , otherwise they have no chance to win . Its as simple as that . For this team to have had the major injuries theyve had at the mid point of the season and still be 6 – 4 is a miracle . Think what it would be if we had an NFL caliber secondary . Oh , what could have been .

Our defence works hard. Alot of injuries there, but the work hard. If you think they SUCK, then you get your ass out there and play.

First off Sandi , Im a lifelong Steeler fan going all the way back to the late seventies . Ive seen the really good teams and the really bad teams , so I think Im probably as knowledgeable as anyone else when it comes to the Pittsburgh Steelers . With that being said , I simply made the observation that this teams secondary is bad , which it is . Its not the players fault , nor is it the coaches fault . They are playing the hand that was dealt to them by the front office . When they have had chances to upgrade the secondary , they havent done it . Its not about injuries or effort , its about a lack of talent . In regards to your last comment about me getting my “ass” out there and playing , my “ASS” is almost fifty , so I dont think that would work . You have a nice day .

The secondary is feast or famine. Sure they hit but the yards given up are stunning. We won’t face many teams as obliging as the Browns.

I read all the time at L4SN about how much the expectations have rose for this defense. There’s no reason the Steelers can’t make a deep playoff run this year.
