Steelers QB Roethlisberger Hoping to Be Able to Take the Practice Field Next Week

Ben Roethlisberger

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is now hoping to be able to take the practice field next week when the the Steelers return from their bye to get ready for a road game at Baltimore.

Today Ben was on the field just eight days after knee surgery to repair his left meniscus.

ESPN reports that Roethlisberger confirmed on his radio show on 93.7 The Fan that he did some individual work at practice but is not committing to a timetable for his return.

“I’m taking it day to day, but my goal is to practice next week,” said Roethlisberger, who threw passes to the tight end group early in Tuesday’s practice, according to tight end Xavier Grimble.

He added on his show that he hopes eventually he’ll reach a point at which he’s not thinking about the knee and is playing with a clear conscience.

The Steelers are just not the same team without Big Ben.

This procedure Ben had done has got to be a fairly minor procedure . If you noticed him on the sideline at last weeks game he was walking normally . No visible limp whatsoever . In addition , hes already doing individual drills at practice and has been most of this week . I’d say unless there is a setback of some kind , you’ll see him on the field in Baltimore next week .

A side note and by the way: if it’s true, I find it deplorable and reprehensible that Ben be asking for a jersey of opposing teams player after a loss! Where is the being pissed, showing us fans you care and being like fuck Brady? Bennie Logan of the eagles said fuck Dallas in an interview the other day! That’s the attitude and fire I want from us ESPECIALLY OUR LEADER ….not, “um, tom, after I’m done blowing you, can I please wear your jersey?” Give me a break! And our other “so-called” leader goes and levies disciplinary action on Eli rogers for a rule infraction which doesn’t hurt the team but he lets Antonio brown get away with celebrations that do hurt the team! And I know you homers out there will opine, wrongfully so of of course, that brown a star and gets special treatment. But if you look at what a real coach did, jimmy johnson, he disciplined and rode his stars in Dallas so the other players would say, “hey, if he yells at emmitt smith like that, Whats he gonna do to me?” What does benching Eli rogers prove? Only thing it proves is if you’re not elite you better show up to meetings on time, meanwhile, if you are elite,’go ahead and do whatever you want even if it hurts the team! Colin Cowherd, in my opinion the ELITE voice in radio for over a decade for how he brings a unique view on a regular basis to the table, FINALLY laid into tomlin and the organization saying the same things that myself and a few others have been saying on here for quite awhile. And yes, I do feel it validates our points because he said it. Whether you like him or not, Cowherd is typically not wrong with his views and retrospectively that pans out, meaning when you look back years or weeks later at something he said, you say the herd was right—even when everyone else was saying he was crazy…he was right. It’s going to pan out in a few years too with what he’s saying about tomlin now! Big Ben will have to bail this organization out if we are going to win anything….as soon as he takes off his Brady jersey of course!
