Steelers Launch NEW ‘Big Screen’ Video Platform

Dan Molls

Few things are as popular among Steelers fans as watching exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage of their favorite team, and thanks to today’s launch of the Steelers DeskSite, fans now have free access to hours upon hours of team-produced Steelers content every day.

Essentially a DVR for the Internet, the Steelers DeskSite serves as a content library that automatically downloads and stores videos directly to users’ devices, allowing fans to view HD videos even when they’re offline. Playback is instantaneous, with none of the buffering, freezing, or dropping associated with streaming video. This personalized “Big Screen” app is specifically designed for laptops, desktops and tablets, instead of smartphones.

Users may select content from a large menu of channels for a truly personalized experience. Video programming includes full-length broadcast television shows, interviews with players and coaches, postgame recaps, in-depth scouting combine and draft coverage, breaking news and more.
