The Day After; Four Takeaways from the Steelers Huge Win in Cincinnati

3. Conner Continues to Get Better

James Conner had another strong game on Sunday, rushing for 111 yards on 19 carries with two scores, and he again was very good running over Bengals players and breaking tackles.

He’s setting all kinds of records through six games, as the last two weeks he’s been sensational, and it’s no surprise that now that the Steelers have re-committed to the run game again they are winning.

Conner in three wins is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, rushing for 282 yards and five scores. In the teams’ two losses, 36 yards on 17 carries with one TD.

Getting him going early, and feeding him the ball often has been the key the last two weeks, and hopefully it will continue against Cleveland in two weeks.
