NFL Draft

A pick for a QB coming at some point of the 2010 Draft?

With their franchise QB facing a possible suspension for his off the field issues, Pro Football Weekly says the Steelers may in face look to take a QB at some point of this years NFL Draft.

With 10 picks in hand and QB Ben Roethlisberger dealing with off-the-field problems, there is speculation the Steelers could take a passer in the 2010 draft. They are better-positioned to take one late in the draft than early, with seven of their picks falling in Rounds Four through Seven. The Steelers have taken a quarterback in four of the last seven drafts, with Roethlisberger the only one selected on the draft’s first day.

They just may take one in the 5th or 6th, but how about going out and getting Marc Bulger instead? Let Bulger start in front of Dixon while Ben is “out” and then wave/cut Batch when Ben returns? Maybe that would leave Batch in a bad spot, but Batch is destined in Pittsburgh for coaching duties anyway. What does everyone think of this?

Tom, you have to be just kidding here! Ben is the Qb of the Steelers. I hope for a long time too. Vick,c’mon! If you are a Steeler fan, then you do NOT want Ben out of town. He’s already delivered 2 titles. I think there are more to be had with Ben under center. I only brought up Bulger because he can steady the ship when/if Ben is suspended

Yep Ttom is a dumass, ok Ben is single banged some crazy broad in Nevada and she went fatal attraction on him. This incident in Georgia who the hell knows what happened but I would bet he didnt Mike Tyson her into the bathroom. I hope Ben wakes up now and just gives up the frat boy crap. Come on he is orge-ish but im sure there is plenty of tail out there for him without the drama. If our D steps it up and plays like in 08 Dennis Dixon could get us 10 wins if he had to,,,I rather keep our alledged sex offender than convicted thug dog killer

amen Adam… although I highly doubt Ben is gonna be suspened for a long duration. Im getting the feeling if Ben is suspended hel get 1 game, 2 at the most. If Ben is convicted i could see half a season, but no more.

Tom’s a moron. lmfao, that was funny. Fuck Vick and leave Batch where he is..Leftwitch on the other hand would make a nice replacement for dumb dick #7 till he quits being an asshole off the field.

OK guys, Tom expressed his minority opinion, and the rest of us don’t want Vick in town. But what about the central question raised in the quote? The Steelers have apparently passed on M. Bulger. So, is it worth using a pick on a QB this year? If so, which QB do you prefer, in what round, and at what price? Who will be available in Rounds 4-7 that will do us any good? Or to ask it another way, does Pro Football Weekly have a credible idea or is this just idle speculation to stir fan interest and fill space?

I would grab up Cincy’s Tony Pike with fourth pick if he was there…..never bad idea to have a quarterback with potential waiting in the background…But beyond dad fuck this BS about NFL a quarterback league. This may be politically in correctbut the only rapists I want on this team is are defense making the other teams quarteback, runningback, and receivers feel violated and used….Defense whens games….I cant stand shootouts,,,Ill take good old fashion Steeler 14-10 wins anyday of the week

I like Pike there too. Although i dont think we need to draft a qb, I would wait and sign an undrafted FA. The Steelers have more issues than qbs right now. Also I dont think I can take Pike after ripping out my heart against the monumental PITT vs Cinci Collapse last season.

ok nothing is gonna happen to ben it’s just another girl making up a story hoping that the rich celebrity will pay her off. her story has too many holes and makes no sence i mean please the cops were called to the club and she doesnt file a complaint until later after she leaves the club please with that said heck no to bulger idea keep batch he looks good holding a clipboard he can help teach dixon for a few years this draft should be straight forward offense line corner backs a compliment back to mendenhall and some type of playmake either on defense of offense i like the idea of earl thomas first round gives a great back up for troy if he gets hurt and we could always bring him in to play a nickel corner back position
