Conner Steps Up, But Turnovers Doom the Steelers in an Ugly 21-21 Opening Day Tie in Cleveland

3. What a Day for Watt

Steelers second-year linebacker T.J. Watt played an outstanding game on Sunday, getting to Browns quarterback Tyrod Taylor for four sacks with 11 total tackles.

While that was amazing, maybe his best play of the game came when he got a hand on Zane Gonzalez’s field goal which could have won the game for the Browns after the 6th Steelers turnover.

There was a lot of wonder about how this Steelers linebacker core would produce, and at least against the Browns they looked very good, with Watt leading the way.

Too many wasted possessions in the 4th quarter trying to run the clock out. Our OC needs to call a better game and not just run on 1st and 2nd then pass on third down. The lack of preseason play for our offensive starters showed that they were not ready for the game.
